Looking back at the Third Quarter...
Phew! What a busy third quarter!

A few weeks after our Pioneer Arizona Living History Museum field trip , we went to the state capitol. Both were impressive!
We're studying Arizona's history at this time and are working towards modern Arizona.
Isn't it great that now our class realizes why it was so crucial to learn their math facts? We've been using them in multi-digit multiplication, long division, data analysis, and numerous other ways during Math and other lessons.
In Writing, students are strenghtening the planning aspect of writing by using RAFTS and Thinking Maps. Of course, our quality expectations for our pieces are based upon the Six Traits of Writing.
During third quarter, students were asked to go online to monitor their own grades at http://ps.dvusd.org. You may want to check it as well. If you are uncertain about the coding for this, go to Classwork for tips.
